What do Danny DeVito and ice cream have in common? Well, absolutely nothing to be honest...

Working with our friends at Animagic, we created the animated digital background that brought Danny’s bizarre and hilarious answers to life. Emphasis on bizarre, we created a supernatural world where ultimately Danny becomes the mystery flavour himself. Random characters make an appearance (umm, hello Mr. Turtle), ice cream chaos ensues, and in the end, Danny’s inner self appears as a gummy worm to save him from being devoured.

We explored 3D and 2D asset design to create more visual interest and add “randomness” to the scenes. Focusing most of our time on the story, we created three different worlds for his tale to take place in and had an absolute blast imagining Danny’s mind.
